President Joe Biden’s campaign slogan, when running for President in 2020, was “Build Back Better”.
Looking back since Biden took office 10 months ago in January, I don’t think that things have been “built back better”. Compare the national average price of a gallon of gas today ($3.40) with 2020’s national average price of $2.10 at this time last year — an increase of $1.30 per gallon. Why the increase?
Why the increase?
Because President Biden’s energy policies have made our nation energy dependent (on foreign countries) — undoing what President Trump had done — making America energy independent so that the United States would no longer have to rely on getting oil from other countries.
Republican Sen. John Kennedy from Louisiana had this to say about Biden’s energy policy: “He (Biden) and his woker friends have eliminated, terminated, ended America’s hard-fought energy independence and here’s their new policy. Let’s force America to buy oil from foreign countries that hate us so those foreign countries will have money to buy weapons to try and kill us.” Then let’s consider the issue of inflation. The rate of
Then let’s consider the issue of inflation. The rate of inflation was 6.2 percent higher in October of 2021 than October of last year. As a matter of fact, inflation is the highest it has been in our nation in three decades (30 years).
Then there is the issue of illegal immigration and open borders along the southern border with Mexico — where it is estimated that close to 2 million illegal immigrants will have crossed by year’s end. These illegals are crossing unvaccinated, while many American citizens are being mandated by their employers to get the COVID-19 vaccine in order to keep their jobs. Additionally, there is some talk about paying these illegals up to $450,000 per individual for “emotional distress” from being separated from their families.
These illegal immigrants are crossing the border “against the law” (that’s what illegal means) and then they are going to get rewarded for “breaking the law” by receiving a huge sum of money for “breaking the law”.
Is it any wonder that President Biden’s and Vice-President Harris’ job approval rates were 38 and 28 percent respectively, according to a recent NBC News poll? Build back better? I don’t think so.
