A flurry of activity transpired Friday at the recycling center, where residents waited in line to deposit goods into the red containers. The levels inside steadily rose throughout the day as a flatbed filled with recycling outside was prepped and ready to depart.
Our county has been lucky to have its recycling program. We were saddened on Dec. 12 when we heard it would close. We are hopeful the closure is only temporary and that a new recycling outlet can be identified.
We enthusiastically support speedy efforts to find a new outlet for recycling for our residents.
