The Bearcats acquired their first loss Friday against the Lyons Lions.

The final score was 46-58.

The ‘Cats fell behind during the first quarter with a score of 7-18 and stayed behind in the second with a score of 13-27.

The ‘Cats ended the third quarter with 23-43 and gained ground in the fourth for a final score of only 12 points behind the Lions.

Braden Schulte was the top scorer for the Bearcats with a total of 15 points, including three 3-pointers, one 2-pointer, and three free throws; Jaxson Stefek scored three 2-pointers and two free throws for 8 points; Luke Sharp scored one 2-pointer and two free throws for 4 points; Avery Haxton ended with 12 points, one 3-pointer, three 2-pointers, and three free throws; Hayden Rogers scored one 2-pointer.
