The Ellsworth High School varsity volleyball team improved their overall record to 21-13, with an NCAA record of 7-3 after competing Oct. 18 at Ell-Saline.

The Bearcats swept all three games of the match against Ell-Saline 25-15, 25-18 and 25-23.

Leading the stats for the Bearcat varsity were:

• Aces — Elyse Haxton, 4; and Greta Klein, 2.

• Assists — Kylan Turnipseed, 35.

• Kills — Isabelle Lindsley, 13; Alexis Moore, 10; Elyse Haxton, 9; and Greta Klein, 8.

• Stuff Blocks — Paityn Tenbrink, 3; Greta Klein, 2; and Alexis Moore, 2.

• Digs — Peyton Coonrod, 14; Elyse Haxton, 14; and Isabelle Lindsley, 10.

The Bearcat junior varsity improved their overall record to 22-7 by also sweeping the two games in the match with Ell-Saline, 26-24 and 26-24.
