Lincoln hands Wilson a loss

LINCOLN — After shutting out Southern Cloud 50-0 in the Sept. 6 season opener, coach Tony Brokes and his Wilson High School Dragons football team lost 12-58 against the Lincoln Lions Sept. 13 at Lincoln.

Lincoln scored first with a total of 6 points in the first quarter, leaving the Dragons scoreless going into the second quarter. Wilson was able to battle back with 6 points in the second quarter and 8 points in the fourth quarter.

On the other hand, the Leopards proved a scoring machine, with 6 points in each of the first two quarters, followed by 18 points in the third quarter and 12 points in the fourth quarter.

This Friday, the 1-1 Wilson Dragons travel to Clyde to play the 2-0 Clifton-Clyde Eagles.
