Oilers football finishes season at Caldwell

CALDWELL — It was a long ride back to Claflin for the Central Plains Junior-Senior High School Oilers football team Oct. 28, after they lost on the road 8-57 to the Caldwell Bluejays.
In the first half, the Oilers had 101 rushing yards and one fumble. They had 26 yards in the air on just three completions. In the second half, the Oilers improved their rushing stat to 35 yards and again one fumble. In the air they threw for just 30 yards on five completions.
Defensively for Central Plains, Dawson McNeal led the Oilers with six unassisted tackles and one assisted tackle. He was followed by Hunter Klima with three unassisted tackle and one assisted tackle.
