Ellsworth football beats Halstead 21-0

HALSTEAD — The Bearcat football team went up against the Blue Dragons Oct. 13. In their seventh game of the season, they won 21-0.

“We did really well on defense and getting Halstead to turn the ball over.

We could do better at finishing the game and getting more points on the board in the second half,” senior Cole Webber said.

Webber said his highlight of the game was catching two touchdown passes in the first half.

Webber and his teammates look forward to the last game of regular season play against Southeast of Saline Oct. 20 at home. For Senior Night, the Bearcats will go up against a powerhouse team, but they’re ready for the challenge.

“We’re watching lots of film and doing game planning to get ready for Southeast,” Webber said.
