Coach Keeley Hipp and her Central Plains High School Cross Country team had a good showing Sept. 1 at Hoisington, for the first meet of the year. Boys Junior Varsity runner Cale Thompson took first with a time of 20:26, and Boys Varsity runner Peyton Ryan placed second with a time of 19:31.
Other Oiler runners placing were Rylan Siemsen in seventh place, with a time of 24:27, Callun Rogers in 10th place, with a time of 25:27, and Aiden Frees in 13th place, with a time of 32:36.
JoAnna Donecker did not run at the meet. “I thought we had a great first meet,” Hipp said. “I am so proud of how hard each kid ran today. I am excited to see the growth in the players throughout the season.”
