Wilson falls in Homecoming game, 30-8
WILSON — The Dragons were slayed during the school’s homecoming game Sept. 23, losing 30-8 to the St. Francis Indians.
Junior Taegan Thrasher snagged the team’s only touchdown in the fourth quarter. For the game, Thrasher had nine carries for 28 yards. He also had three catches for 20 yards.
Contributing to the offense was sophomore Connor Charvat with 31 rushing yards. Charvat completed five of nine passing attempts for 21 yards.
Freshman Sam Thielen completed three of seven passes for 33 yards.
Sophomore Cade Brokes had three carries for 13 rushing yards for the night and caught two passes for 10 yards.
Sophomore Briceson Pasek snagged one pass for 21 yards.
Senior Noah Crawford nabbed four kickoff returns for 35 total yards, while Thrasher had one return for 24 yards.
In defense, Charvat led the Dragons in tackles, with eight for the night.
Sophomore Alec Huck had seven tackles.
The Dragons (1-3) face the Victoria Knights (4-0) at home at 7 p.m. Friday.
