FFA Week will be Feb. 20-28. Many activities are planned by Ellsworth members.

Feb. 20: FFA Work Auction and Chili Feed: We will start at 6 p.m. serving chili and will then auction off FFA members for eight hours of work and announce the King and Queen of FFA. Community members are encouraged to support us in this fundraising effort. This money helps pay for FFA events and activities across the country. Meet in the commons area.

Feb. 22: FFA Meats Judging Contest: This year we are the hosts of the North Central District Meats Contest. We will have over 50 students from across the North Central Kansas region in town that Saturday. Ellsworth Packing is our sponsor for this event. This event starts at 8 a.m.

Feb. 24: FFA Skating Fun Night and Meeting: We will travel to the Hutchinson Skating Rink. We will leave at 5:30 p.m. and return at 10 p.m.

Feb. 25: Agriculture in Action Photo Contest: Take your best agriculture photo and submit it to the Ellsworth FFA Facebook page. The photos will be judged and the FFA officers will select the Top 10. The top 10 will be displayed to the student body for a Grand Prize Winner of $25.

Feb. 26: Middle School Hall of States: The FFA will visit the middle school and display agriculture knowledge posters built by FFA members. Middle school students will learn and fill out a scavenger hunt for a small prize.

Feb 26: Selection Day: FFA members will compete for the chance to earn their state degree, proficiency award, or a district officer position in Minneapolis. Applications are due by 8 a.m. on the 26th to Mrs. Stover.

Feb. 27: FFA Ag Awareness Day: FFA will conduct a coloring and poster contest for children K-4th. Members also plan to visit the elementary school to talk about agriculture.

Feb. 27: FFA Pancake Feed: Students will start cooking up a storm at 3 p.m. We will serve the public from 4 to 8 p.m. We will have pancakes, sausage, eggs, and drinks. Everyone in the community is invited for this free meal of friendship. It will be hosted in the Ellsworth High School Shop.

Feb. 28: FFA Week Awards Day: Students participating in at least two FFA Week activities will receive a free FFA t-shirt. Students participating in at least four FFA Week events will be invited to attend a pizza party during lunch time this day to celebrate their hard work!
