WILSON LAKE — The body of a 58-yearold Salina man was recovered by search crews at Wilson Lake Oct. 12.

According to the Russell County Sheriff ’s Office, Michael Wayne Larson was reported to have fallen out of a boat on the afternoon of Oct. 8 near the west end of the lake. Recovery efforts had been ongoing since that time.

Game wardens from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks will be completing a fatality boat accident investigation to complete the incident.

In addition to the Russell County Sheriff ’s Office, personnel from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Russell County EMS, Russell County Fire and Russell City Fire Department, as well as volunteer divers, were involved in the recovery effort.
