Grain prices mixed for the week

Prices paid for grain at the Ellsworth Co-op at the end of the business day, Monday, Dec. 9, were: Wheat, bu. — $3.81, down 13 cents from Dec. 1. Milo, bu. — $3.09, down 3 cents. Soybeans, bu. — $7.87, up 26 cents. Corn, bu. — $3.41, down 6 cents. The co-op has locations in Ellsworth, Black Wolf, Farhman, Hitschmann, Holyrood and Kanopolis.

Sebesta to Washington, D.C.

Rachel Sebesta of the Midway Extension District was selected as one of six delegates to the National 4-H Conference next April in Washington, D.C. Rachel also attended the Kansas Youth Leadership Forum in November at Rock Springs Ranch, near Junction City. In other Ellsworth County 4-H news, 2019-20 council officers are: Rebekah Vague, president; Anna Theilen, vice president; Macey Homeier, secretary; Kason LaMont, treasurer; and Caleb Hays, reporter.
