Grain prices mostly up for the week

Prices paid for grain at the Ellsworth Co-op at the end of the business day, Friday, Jan. 17, were:

Wheat, bu. — $4.56, up 1 cent from Jan. 13. Milo, bu. — $3.19 down 1 cents. Soybeans, bu. — $8.17, down 12 cents. Corn, bu. — $3.54, down 1 cent.

The co-op has locations in Ellsworth, Black Wolf, Farhman, Hitschmann, Holyrood and Kanopolis.

Farm bill meetings set

The Ellsworth and Lincoln County FSA offices will conduct a series of ARC/PLC informational meetings. All meetings will be held at the FSA office designated below. Meeting dates and times are as follows: Monday, Jan. 27 — Lincoln FSA office, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 — Lincoln FSA office, 10 a.m., Ellsworth FSA office, 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30: Ellsworth FSA office, 10 a.m., and 2 p.m. Information covered at each meeting will be the same.
