Milo price up for the week

Prices paid for grain at the Ellsworth Co-op at the end of the business day, Monday, March 30, were:

Wheat, bu. — $4.52, down 3 cents from March 23.

Milo, bu. — $3.16, up 7 cents.

Soybeans, bu. — $7.87, down 2 cents.

Corn, bu. — $3.08, down 3 cents. The co-op has locations in Ellsworth, Black Wolf, Farhman, Hitschmann, Holyrood and Kanopolis.

Barton Performing Arts hosts virtual auditions

The Barton Performing Arts Department would like to invite high school seniors with an interest in dance, instrumental music, theatre and vocal music to apply and audition for 2020-21 Performance Awards, Major Scholarships and performance ensembles via virtual auditions on April 18.

Awards range from $250 to $1,500 per year. Scholarships for majors are $2,000 and can be combined with other academic and activity awards. Students unavailable on April 18 for a virtual audition may schedule a video conference on a different date or make arrangements with the instructors listed below to submit their audition via video.
