Grain prices down for the week

Prices paid for grain at the Ellsworth Co-op at the end of the business day, Friday, May 22, were:

Wheat, bu. — $4.10 down 1 cent from May 18.

Milo, bu. — $3.33, down 8 cents.

Soybeans, bu. — $7.33, down 12 cents.

Corn, bu. — $2.83, down 3 cents. The co-op has locations in Ellsworth, Black Wolf, Farhman, Hitschmann, Holyrood and Kanopolis.

Ellsworth interviews for administrator

The Ellsworth City Council met in special session May 19 to interview three candidates for Ellsworth city administrator. The council conducted the interviews in executive session from 2:30 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. No action was taken. City attorney Patrick Hoffman said names would not be released because of privacy rights.
