Kanopolis Council approves licenses

Three 2020 cereal malt beverage licenses were approved by the Kanopolis City Council Dec. 26, during a special meeting at Kanopolis city hall. The licenses were for the Kanopolis Corner Store, the Koyote Den and the Fort Harker Saloon II.

City administrator settlement okayed

After a five-minute executive session to discuss matters pertaining to attorney-client privilege, the Ellsworth City Council approved a joint settlement agreement with former city administrator Scott Moore. The action took place Dec. 27 during a special meeting at city hall. Approval is contingent upon all parties signing the agreement. According to Mayor Mark Kennedy, upon receipt of all signatures, the settlement will be made public.
