Five Ellsworth County businesses will benefit from $120,000 in grant assistance from the CDBG CV program.

They are:

• Kanopolis Drive In Theatre, Kanopolis — $19,001.40.

• Katlyns Licensed Daycare, rural Wilson — $2,293.15.

• Moly Manufacturing, Lorraine — $46,185.12.

• Siemsen Well Service — $24,046.28.

• Wenz Interiors, Holyrood — $28,474.05.

Stacie Schmidt, executive director of Ellsworth County Economic Development, attended Monday morning’s meeting of the Ellsworth County commissioners with the information.

Commissioners approved the grant recipients and authorized chairman Steve Dlabal to sign future agreements with the state.

Schmidt said the five businesses were outside the city limits of Wilson and Ellsworth, which both have their own CDBG programs.

She said the five county businesses fit the criteria set by the Kansas Department of Commerce. A sixth application was incomplete.
