Daughters of Isabella

The St. Francis Circle #232 Daughters of Isabella met for their regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, at the Parish Hall in Wilson.

The meeting was opened by Regent Flo Fosdick. Spiritual Lesson was given by Mary Mattas on St. John the Baptist. Quarterly reports were read and the Audit Committee met prior to the regular meeting to check the books. Vera Ehrlich of the Welfare Committee announced the fundraising project of making jaternice will be in October or November after she checks the church calendar.

The Nominating Committee reported the slate of officers for 2023-2025. Following the election, the following were declared duly elected: Regent Flo Fosdick, Vice Regent Alice Macek, Past Regent Vera Ehrlich, Recording Secretary Rita Urbanek, Treasurer Mary Kratky, Financial Secretary Belinda Kasper, Scribe Alice Macek, Chancellor Mary Mattas, Auditors Phyllis Dolezal, Mary Mattas and Linda Strella, Custodian Dorothy Brokes, Monitor Wilma Olds, 1st Guide Janiece Kornmeyer, Inner Guard Jane Long, Outer Guard Tomasa Cisneros and Banner Bearer Mary Zelenka. Installation of officers will be in October or November.

The Sept. 11 meeting hostesses are Kerianne Ehrlich, Virginia Hubka, Irene Werth and Nancy Kratky. Mary Mattas won the door prize and refreshment were served by Dorothy Brokes assisted by Alice Macek.
