Traveling 12 Card Club

The Traveling 12 Card Club met Jan. 27 at the home of Vera Ehrlich. Winning Hi was Julia Woodmansee. Lo was Lucille Janda. Traveling was won by Marilyn Soukup. Others playing pinochle were: Jeannie Thrasher, Alice Killian, Betty Heinze, Margaret Stadelman, Doris Oller, Jan Zamecnik, Sherrill Steinle and Myrene Soukup. Club members travel to the home of Betty Heinze at 7 p.m. Feb. 24.

PYW FCE

Members of the PYW FCE met Jan. 20 at the home of Mary Lee Bohnen. Members attending were Mary Lee Bohnen, Rita Habbart, Betty Jo Lloyd, Donna Fay Major, Anita Patton, guest and newest member Skye Demel. Minutes were read and approved. Treasurer’s report was given and accepted. Officers elected for 2019-20 are Rita Habbart, president; Donna Fay Major, vice-president; Betty Jo Lloyd, secretary; and Anita Patton, treasurer. All present commented on how much they enjoyed the Christmas party meal at the Midland Railroad Hotel in Wilson. The lesson “Antibiotics: History, Use and Abuse” was given by Rita Habbart, who also served refreshments. The next meeting will be held Feb. 18 at the home of Mary Lee Bohnen. Donna Fay Major will bring the refreshments and give the lesson,“Do you know your Sleep A-to-Zzzzzz’s”.
