Vyve request to switch security carriers nixed
A request from Vyve Broadband to switch the security on computers at the Ellsworth County Noxious Weed Department from Wilson A Communications to Vyve Broadband was denied during Monday’s meeting of the Ellsworth county commissioners.
Teresa Shute, director of the noxious weed department, said she was approached recently by Robert Weatherly of Vyve Broadband, who has purchased a portion of Eagle Communications, with the request, which would include a three year contract.
“I’d like to stay with Wilson Communications,” Shute told commissioners, adding she was bringing the request to commissioners to decide.
“Stay with what you’re getting if it’s working,” Commission president Steve Dlabal said.
“You’d better stay with what you’ve got,” added Commissioner Kermit Rush.
The next meeting of the Ellsworth County commissioners will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at the county courthouse.
