Curbside recycling to end Friday, Oct. 1

By

Residential curbside recycling pickup in Ellsworth will end Friday, Oct. 1.
That was the update Chris Behrens of CB Trucking and Services LLC in Beverly gave during a Sept. 24 telephone interview with the Independent-Reporter.
“I’ve had a lot of phone calls,” Behrens said.
Behrens said the residential curbside recycling pickup is too time consuming and costs of labor and fuel are also increasing.
Behrens added he plans to continue picking up recycling from the Ellsworth County Recycling Program and from businesses in Ellsworth. He suggested businesses call him at (785) 658-5842 when they need recycling.
He also suggested residential customers take their recycling to the Ellsworth County recycling building, which is located next to the county noxious weed building in Ellsworth.
