HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KANSAS
Ellsworth Elementary School third graders visited the Smoky Hill Museum in Salina Thursday, Jan. 30, to celebrate Kansas Day and Kansas’ 159th years as a state. The students learned how to shell and grind corn, churn butter, play pioneer games and pack their wagon for a overland journey. Around 1,000 regional students from Ellsworth, Wilson and other schools took part in the museum’s Kansas Day week school tours.
