Healthcare foundation taps board members

The Ellsworth County Healthcare Foundation recently added three new board members. Justin Nash of Holyrood, Craig Freeman of Wilson and Jessica Homolka of Lorraine will begin their terms May 1.

The terms of two board members, Shawn Thomas and Don Nash, have expired after nine years of service.

“They served this board and our community with the utmost respect, dignity, and compassion for the area we serve,” said Kurt Williams, foundation chairman. “Thank you both for such great service over the years.”

In addition to the two expiring terms, the board accepted the resignations of Mary Everett and Tammy Moore.

The Ellsworth County Healthcare Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to the continuance of quality healthcare in the Ellsworth County area. In support of this commitment the Foundation strives for the advancement of healthcare; health promotion; health and medical education; research and welfare services. The Foundation uses income and gifts of money or other donated properties, for the financial aid and assistance of healthcare-related causes and institutions within the Ellsworth County area.

Additional governing board members are Kurt Williams, chairman; Debbie Kootz, treasurer; Andrew Bair, secretary; Ken Beneda, Mary Ann Fredrickson, Bobbie Jo Rogers, Louis Frazier and John Sherman, board attorney.
