Our goal is to create a place where residents can go for accurate information and not something that has passed through numerous Facebook posts without verification.

Local businesses — and that includes the Ellsworth County Independent-Reporter — are the lifeblood of any rural community. For the I-R and others, the issue goes beyond profit and loss. A decent cash flow is necessary to get to the next month.
