Busy, busy, busy! But never too busy to wish you all a Happy New Year!

This time of year, is busy, busy, busy. End-of-year annual reports, getting paperwork finished and getting everything else ready for the new year is just so fun. BUT, we are excited for a new year and all it has in store for the library.

We have made some changes already. For starters, we have a cool booth for the kids to sit in and do their homework or play games. We switched out the table in the seating area of the adult section so there is more room to put a puzzle together and more people can sit there and help. There are more changes to come, but they all seem to take time.

We are going to be starting an outreach service called “Book Express.” We will deliver books to people who live in Ellsworth city limits who are unable to visit the library due to limitations. If you would be interested in this service or know of someone who might possibly be interested, please give us a call at (785) 472-3969. We would love to get you on the list. We will also be looking for people who would like to volunteer to deliver the books.

We have done some rearranging in the nonfiction section on the adult side. We are hoping it makes things easier to find. We would love to have your opinion, even if you don’t like it. Please let us know. We learn and grow from your input.

Talking input … it is a new year: What would you like to see us do or change? Let us know. We are always open to new ideas or even old ideas you would like to see us do again.

Movies are the first Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m. Book Club is the third Thursday of the month at 10:30 a.m. Reset Your Mind/For Your Health is Mondays at 5:15 p.m., and yoga is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15 p.m.
