KANOPOLIS — The Ellsworth County Sheriff ’s Office is investigating a recent break-in at the Kanopolis Corner Store in Kanopolis.

According to Sheriff Murray Marston, the crime took place sometime after the business closed Dec. 3. The break-in was discovered the next morning, Dec. 4.

Marston said someone made a forced entry into the business and took numerous items. He was unable to give a total dollar amount of the items taken, however.
