Kozisek will head Citizens board
Citizens State Bank & Trust Co., Ellsworth, is
announces that Don Kozisek, Holyrood, was elected
chairman of the Board of Directors at the annual
stockholder’s meeting on Jan. 27, 2021.
Kozisek has served on the bank’s
board since 1987, and has a vast history
of community service. A graduate of
Kansas State University, Kozisek spent
most of his adult life ranching and
farming near Holyrood, and is also
retired from selling farm machinery.
In addition to being one of the original
founders of the Smoky Hills
Charitable Foundation, Kozisek has also served on the
Farmers Home Administration Board, Palacky
Cemetery Board, the local election board, Ellsworth
County Conservation Board, Ellsworth County
Medical Center board, St. Peter’s Lutheran church
board, and Wilson State Bank board. Currently,
Kozisek serves on the Ellsworth County Historical
Society board, Holyrood booster club, and the committee
to restore the Holyrood Depot.
“As a board member, Don has taken an active role in
bank leadership for many years. In addition to his
board duties, he participates in bank events, such as
serving at our annual Hot Dog Days,” CSB&T
President David Brownback commented. “His primary
goal is to insure that CSB&T serves the financial
needs of our customers and communities.”
With Kozisek’s appointment, Lew McAtee,
Ellsworth, retires as chairman of the board, having
served in that role since 2004. McAtee started his
career with CSB&T in 1966 as a bank officer/director
and will continue to serve as a board member.
Brownback stated, “I have had the pleasure of working
with Lew McAtee for more than 40 years. He has
set a good example by always putting customers first.”
