USD 327 discusses new technology options
It was mostly discussion Monday night at the monthly meeting of the Ellsworth-Kanopolis-Geneseo USD 327 board of education.
Patron Kristin Haase reviewed with board members the ag and industrial career decline and how the district could implement programs to familiarize students with the kinds of careers the industry has to offer.
Also Monday, representatives from Eagle Communications and K12itc went over recent technology advancements so teachers, administrators, and students could benefit from using them.
Also discussed was the parking situation at the Ellsworth Junior/Senior High School during events. Patrons are parking on the access road between the high school parking lot and the tennis court. Board members wondered if they could enforce a “no parking” policy; however, no action was taken.
The next meeting of the board will be at 7 p.m. Monday, March 9.
