Watershed survey in this week’s special conservation ‘C’ section
The KSU Big Creek Middle Smoky Hill River Watersheds and KSU Department of Communications and Ag Education hope you will take a few minutes to share your agricultural interest and engagement with us. We are trying to get a better understanding of current conservation practices in the watersheds, especially those protecting local water supplies and the environment.
We are curious which conservation practices and programs you install and participate in and why. To answer our questions, a survey — included as an insert in this week’s edition of the Ellsworth County Independent-Reporter, can be filled out by more than one individual in your family and/or operation as we understand each individual may have a different viewpoint.
We hope the responses we get will help us provide targeted, needed educational programming, field days, etc. and also more funding sources to help in your operations.
Thank you for your time and consideration in helping us better understand what drives your interest in agricultural practices and programs.
If you have questions, you can contact Stacie Minson, KSU watershed specialist, at (785) 769-3297 or sedgett@ksu.edu; or Dr. Burke, Ag Communications, at
(785) 532-1163 or kjburke@ksu.edu.
Please fill out and return the survey to either your County Conservation District Office/ NRCS Field Office or County KSRE Extension Office, and/or mail to this address:
