The Bearcats traveled to Russell Thursday, Feb. 13, bringing home a total of 14 wins, including one 1st place, two 2nd places and four 3rd places.

Brendan Tripp brought home 1st place in the 220 division. Tripp had two wins by fall against Buck Luedke of Beloit and Dallas Buss.

Tyler Walford received NCAA 2nd place with four wins and one loss. Walford won 6-1 over Eyann Zimmerman of Republic County. Walford also had three wins by fall over Bryce Worlock of Minneapolis, Eli Jackson of Southeast of Saline and Max Self of Russell. Walford lost 1-9 to Creighton Johnson of Beloit.

Morgan Kelley also brought home a 2nd place with four wins and a loss. Kelley won 9-5 over Austin Wolf of Minneapolis and 13-8 over Ryan Beavers of Republic County. He also had two wins by fall over Mac Chambers of Southeast of Saline and Hunter Redding of Russell. Kelley’s loss was by fall to Tate Kadel of Beloit.

James Stalnaker earned 3rd place with two wins and two loses. Stalnaker won by default to Jacob Berry of Beloit and by fall over Marcel Dyke of Republic County. He lost by fall to Dayton Randall of Minneapolis and Jacob Windholz of Russell.

Teagon Nienke earned 3rd place with one win and two losses. Nienke won by fall over Ayden Loomis of Beloit, losing 1-4 to AJ Polanski of Republic County and by fall to Gage Carlson of Minneapolis.

Tyler Romero placed 3rd with a win and two losses. Romero won by fall over Terrin Andrew of Minneapolis, losing 5-11 to Braden Burks of Beloit and Sterling Harp of Southeast of Saline by fall.

Jacob Keller brought home a 3rd place, losing two matches. Keller lost by fall to Connor Conrad of Beloit and Jonathan Dyke of Republic County.
