The Central Plains High School Lady Oilers Volleyball Team won the recent 1A Sub-State Volleyball Tournament. Against Thunder Ridge, Central Plains served six aces; two by Lexi Oeser and one each by Rachel Lamatsch, Ryenne Cunningham, Riley Thompson and Kassidy Nixon. The Lady Oilers also had 26 kills, led by Addison Crites with 13, Kassidy Nixon with seven, Rebecca Stratmann with two, Ryenne Cunningham with two and Lexi Oeser with two. Addison Crites also had two solo blocks.

Against Grainfield Wheatland, Central Plains served a total of five aces. Four were by Ryenne Cunningham, and one was by Addison Crites. The Lady Oilers also had 19 kills. They were led by Crites with seven, Nixon with four, Oeser with three, Cunningham with three, Stratmann with one and Shaylah Kempke with one. Addison Crites had two solo blocks while Nixon had one.

The Lady Oilers next travel to Dodge City this Friday, (Nov. 1) to compete in the state tournament. Central Plains’ first match is at 9:30 a.m.
