The Ellsworth High School Lady ‘Cats are off to a good start after their two wins Tuesday, Sept. 3, over Republic County. The Lady Bearcats started the night off with wins, 25-8, 26-24. After overcoming a minor deficit of five in the second set, the Lady ‘Cats finished the set strong to capture the win by two. Ellsworth was just as eager to win in the second match. The Lady ‘Cats finished the night off with two more wins, 25-11, 25-20. The wins put Ellsworth at 2-0 for the season. They continued play Thursday against Sterling.
