Central Plains will send more than a half-dozen athletes to state track this weekend at Wichita. The girls that qualified for the state track meet:

• Sophomore Brynna Hammeke, 1st, in the high jump. She cleared 5’5”. Her times were 1:01.18 in the 400m Dash, 3rd, and 27.41 in the 200m Dash, 4th.

• Seniors Jennah Jeffery, Monica Short, and Callie Zink, 3rd, had a time of 4:25.31 in the 4x400. Callie Zink, 2nd, also qualified in the 800m with a dash of 2:37.50.

• Lauren Oeser, 3rd, in javelin had a throw of 109’8.

• Senior Tyler Holmes, 4th, tossed the shot put 43’07.

• Sophomore Michael Laymon, 1st, in javelin had a throw of 151’04.50.
