Central Plains shuts out Otis-Bison, 46-0
Coach Chris Steiner and his Central Plains Oilers varsity football team notched one in the win column Friday with a 46-0 pounding of Otis-Bison.
Offensively, the Oilers were 6 of 8 in the passing department for 114 yards and zero interceptions. Michael Laymon led the Oilers passing effort with five completions on seven attempts for 99 yards.
Cole Lamatsch led the Central Plains rushing attack with 12 carries for 73 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, Jacob Oberle and Tyler Holmes each had 6 unassisted tackles, while William Laymon had 5, Cole Lamatsch, 2, Matthew Donecker, 2.
Central Plains had just one fumble during the game. They had 8 first downs with four punt returns for 10 yards and one kick of 20 yards.
In the penalty department, Central Plains racked up six penalties for 50 yards.
