KANOPOLIS — Ellsworth’s Kaden Davis, who accepted an offer to play for the Denver Broncos on April 30, visited Kanopolis Middle School on May 5. He spent more than an hour talking to fifth and sixth grade students.
“It was all the kids were talking about,” principal Kristy Rodriguez said. So she reached out, and Davis agreed to visit the school.
“He was very honest with the kids,” she said. “He told them, ‘My work isn’t done. I have a lot to work towards.’”
“He talked to them about developing hard work now. If it’s something what they want, no matter what it is, they have to put in hard work, even when times get tough.”
Davis, a graduate of Ellsworth Jr.-Sr. High School, reported to rookie minicamp last week.
