The Central Plains High School Lady Oilers Basketball Team lost their first game of the season Jan. 11 in Claflin. The Lady O’s were bested at home by the Sterling Black Bears, 51-39.

Leading the scoring for Central Plains was Madie McGuire with 14 points, followed by Brynna Hammeke with 9, and Kassidy Nixon and Reese McGuire each with 8.
