Lady Oilers sink another opponent on the court
The Lady Oilers took charge of the court Tuesday, Feb. 11, against the Meade Buffaloes, winning 89-21.
Emily Ryan owned the court and the ball on the Buffaloes home turf. Ryan put 29 points on the score board. Grabbing six total rebounds Ryan also had 13 steals and nine assists.
Kassidy Nixon and Addison Crites were next on the point board with 13 points each. Nixon had two assists and Crites one. Nixon grabbed three offensive rebounds and Crites five rebounds. Between Nixon and Crites the Buffaloes lost the ball seven times by Nixon with four steals and Crites with three.
Brynna Hammeke and Delaney Rugan each put 10 points on the board. Hammeke had two assits and Rugan four. Rugan and Hammeke had five total rebounds, Rugan with four of those. The Buffaloes again lost the ball to Rugan and Hammeke seven times. Rugan pulled off six of the seven steals. Lexie Oeser also helped the top points leaders with nine points.
Zoe Potter and Rachel Lamatsch played their part in helping the Oilers dominate Tuesday. Potter made three points and one rebound. Lamatsch made two points, assists and rebounds. Lamatsch and Potter stole the ball a total of eight times from Meade, Lamatsch with six of those steals.
The boys also played Meade in a non-conference game, 49-34.
Next up for the Oilers were a home game Tuesday against Ness City and an away game Friday at Kinsley.
