Central Plains’ Alex Hickel finished 1 back from Class 1A state golf champion Eli Bullinger of Montezuma-South Gray to finish in second place at the Salina Municipal Golf Course.

Senior Hickel posted 6-over 75. Bullinger had 5-over 75.

Fellow Oiler Brett Thompson, also a senior, posted a 39-over 109.
