KINSLEY — The Central Plains High School Oilers football team redeemed themselves Friday with a much needed 56-6 victory on the road against the Kinsley Coyotes.

Offensively, the Oilers were 5 for 12 in the passing department for a total of 58 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

The Oilers rushed for 204 yards on 30 carries, including six touchdowns and one 100 yardplus run. In the receiving department, the Oilers caught five balls for 58 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, the Oilers had 28 solo and 76 assisted tackles in the winning effort.

Coach Chris Steiner and his Oilers are at home for Homecoming Friday as they take on Kevin Ayers and his 2-1 Little River Redskins squad. The game begins at 7 p.m.
