Jeanne Louise Heki of Wilson, Kan., passed away on March 16, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Society in Ellsworth, Kan., at the age of 72. She was born on Dec. 26, 1950, to Louis and Louise (Aasa) Motis in Pioche, Nev.Jeanne grew up in Nevada and graduated from Henderson Nevada High School in 1968.

Lyman Donald “Don” Hansen of Wilson, Kan., passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 11, 2023, in Ellsworth, Kan. He was born in Superior, Neb. on Feb. 1, 1943, to Lyman Harold Hansen and Janice Annetta (Liles) Hansen. He grew up on the family farm in Jewell County, Kan.

Doris M. (Jennrich) Dolezal, 87, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in Wilson, Kan. She was born on Feb. 15, 1936, in Russell, Kan., to Frank Royal Sr. and Violet Rose (Heard) Jennrich. Doris met Wenslow Dolezal at the skating rink in Ellsworth, Kan., and they were united in marriage on Aug.

Margaret (Peg) Baker Britton, 94, happily surrendered her remaining energy to the great cosmic dance and stardust cycle of life on March 4, 2023, at Salina Presbyterian Manor, Salina, Kan.

Mable Ruth Bettenbrock, 97, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, in Lincoln. She was born Sept. 5, 1925, on the family farm near Falun, Kan., in Saline County to Harry and Ruth (Hopp) Gile. She married Jack Delbert Bettenbrock in Salina on Oct.

Lorene Ann Barta, 93, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in Ellsworth. She was born April 29, 1929, in Ellsworth County to John A. and Emma (Kyler) Svoboda. She was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth County, working for over 30 years at Ellsworth Memorial Hospital as a secretary in admissions.

Myrene Sue (Borecky) Soukup, 75, passed away March 3, 2023, at the Wilson Care and Rehabilitation in Wilson, Kan. She was born on March 28, 1947, in Ellsworth, Kan., the daughter of John and Marie (Janda) Borecky of Black Wolf, Kan.

Lila Mae Holmes, 94, died Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at The Shepherd’s Center, Cimarron.She was born Aug. 17, 1928, at Liberal, daughter of Claude William, Sr. and Ida Almeda (Barrows) Holmes. She was a 1946 graduate of Plains High School, Plains, Kan.

Dorothy Martha Balluch passed away on Sunday Feb. 26, 2023, at home in Manhattan, Kan. She was 91 years old.Dorothy was born on March 27, 1931, to John and Barbara (Graf) Spies in Quinter, Kan. Dorothy graduated from Quinter High School in 1949, and later graduated from the Salina Beauty Academy.

Rodney D. “Rod” Rolfs, 82, passed away on Feb. 15, 2023, at Berkley West Healthcare Center in Santa Monica, Calif. He was born on Dec. 7, 1940, in Ellsworth, Kan., the son of Roland John Rolfs and Violet Ruby (Wuthnow) Rolfs of Lorraine, Kan.
