Jerry Lee Rowe passed away in Lamar, Colo. Nov. 29, 2021, at the age of 83.  A Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, Dec. 3, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dorrance, Kan. There was no visitation.

Ronald ‘Ron’ Lowry went to meet Jesus Dec. 2, 2021, in Salina, Kan. His transition to the other side was peaceful. Ron told many people, “If I live, I will win if I don’t, I will win. When I die, I will win — who could ask for more than a win-win situation?

Glenn William Anschutz, 96, of Topeka, KS, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at home.  Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth, John, Carl, Wilbur and Dale; and sister, Vera; brothers-in-law, Martin Lehman, Harold True and Herb Mutschler; and sister-in-law, Mable Anschutz.

Bernice Bolte, 90, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, in Salina, Kan.She was born Nov. 6, 1931, in Rice County, Kan. to Sebastian and Gertrude (Koch) Ricker. She married Roland Walter Bolte in Holyrood, Kan. Aug. 30, 1953. The couple lived many years on a farm near Westfall, Kan. in Lincoln County.

Sandra Lou (Stroede) Moon, age 56, passed away Nov. 21, 2021, in Ellsworth, Kan., surrounded by loved ones.She was born in Ellsworth Oct. 15, 1965, to the late Dale Otto and Lila Jean (Voeltz) Stroede.

Edna M. (Soukup) Buehler, Wilson, Kan., passed away Nov. 20, 2021, at the Ellsworth County Medical Center, Ellsworth, Kan., at the age of 92.Visitation if from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23 with a 7 p.m. Vigil Service at the funeral home in Wilson.A Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov.

Leroy Bruning, 89, was called to his heavenly home Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, four months to the day after losing his right leg. He struggled with it and cancer, but he had the Lord by his side all the way.Leroy was born Jan. 29, 1932 at home on the farm in Columbia Township, Ellsworth County, Kan.

Carolyn Kohls, 80, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, surrounded by family, at her home in Ellsworth, Kan.She was born July 22, 1941, in Ogden, Utah to Henry and Elvera (Lange) Dockter. Carolyn shared her birthdate with her future husband, Kenneth Kohls. They married Aug. 8, 1965 in Rupert, Idaho.

Norman Eugene Herrington, 93, Gardner, Kan., passed away peacefully at his home, with his family at his side, Nov. 15, 2021.  Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Leavenworth National Cemetery with Military Honors.

Anthony John Lamia, Sr. ‘Meatball’, 66, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, in Madill, Okla. He was born Feb. 8, 1955, in Ellsworth, Kan. to Jasper and Mary Ann (Simanella) Lamia.     Anthony was raised in Kanopolis, graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1973 and then attended Vo-Tech in Salina.
