Shirley Ann (Bettenbrock) Kilgore, 89, passed away May 6, 2021. Shirley moved many times before settling in Moses Lake in 1963. She was born Feb. 26, 1932 to William “George” and Louise Bettenbrock in Ellsworth, Kan. She was a L.P.

Roberta Josephine (Bobby Jo)(Milner) Mog , formerly of rural Wilson, Kan., passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 in Thornton, Colo. at the age of 93. Bobby Jo was born to Gus C. and Bernece Lancaster Milner Nov. 25, 1927, in the small southeastern Kansas town of Virgil.

Ronald Frank Pertl passed away at his home on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at the age of 88. He was born Jan. 25, 1933 to Frank and Julia (Lilak) Pertl in Russell County, Kansas. The family will be hosting a memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday, May 10, at the Lucas United Methodist Church in Lucas, Kan.

Edith A. (Sula) Murphy passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at the Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colo. at the age of 95. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Monday, May 3, at the Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home in Wilson. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Mary Catherine Herzog, 85, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021 in Ellsworth, Kan. She was born March 25, 1935 in Osage City, Kan. to David and Elizabeth (Gasser) King. Celebration of life service is at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8, at the First Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth.

Bonnie Jo Babcock, 56, of Lewis, Kan., passed away April 26, 2021 at her home. She was born Feb. 3, 1965 in Stafford, Kan., the daughter of Donald and Nina Samms Dimitt. Bonnie was a near lifelong Rice County resident, having residing in Wilson, Kan. for four years.

Alice Jean Killian passed away Friday, April 23, 2021, in Wichita, Kan. at the age of 72. She was born to Harvey and Edith (Lewis) Killian on May 20, 1948 in Russell, Kan. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday, April 26 at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home in Wilson.

Howard Lee Kempke, 86, of Marquette, Kan., passed away peacefully on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. Howard was born April 29, 1934, in Ellsworth, Kan., the sixth son of Robert John and Myrtle Ann (Beagley) Kempke.

Bobby Lee Miller, age 84, passed away April 19, 2021. He was born Sept. 6, 1936. Bobby was a Ham Radio enthusiast and shared his hobby with the children around the neighborhood by teaching them about Ham Radio. He loved riding his Harley Davidson as well as his speed boat.

Carla R. Schneider, 61, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in Salina, Kan. She was born Nov. 6, 1959 in Ellsworth, Kan. to Alfred and Edith (Bruning) Soukup. Having a passion for care, Carla graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina and became a Registered Nurse.
