Elsie Irene (Friebus) Sebesta passed away Jan. 10, 2020 at Wilson Care & Rehab at the age of 92. Elsie was born on June 14, 1927 to John and Lydia (Wallert) Friebus in Dorrance, Kan.  She attended Dorrance schools and graduated from Dorrance High School in 1945.

Harold D. Sneath, 82, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020 in Hutchinson. He was born April 15, 1937 in Carneiro to George and Edna (Basye) Sneath.

William ‘Billy’ Ray Goode, 75, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2020 in Russell. He was born May 20, 1944 in Hopkinsville, Ky. to George Raymond and Ola Agnes (Henderson) Goode.

Gordon Wayne ‘Doc’ Eller, M.D., 77, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2019 in Colorado. He was born March 17, 1942 in Beloit, Kan. to the late Rev. George and Luella Eller.

Herbert ‘Herb’ Soukup, 83, of Hutchinson, died Dec. 22, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 25, 1936, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Joseph and Dessie (Grubb) Soukup. Herb was a 1955 graduate of St. John’s Military School, Salina, Kan.

The life of Theodore ‘Ted’ Robert LoPresti, 85, of Leavenworth, ended Dec. 26, 2019. He was born Sept.17, 1934 in Ravenna, Neb. to Mike and Mabel LoPresti, joining his brother Tom and sister Frances.

Robert Eugene ‘Bob’ Tatro, 79, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019 in Salina after a long and tenacious battle with heart disease. He was born in Concordia, to Victor and Agnes (Thyfault) Tatro, the ninth of 11 children. Bob was an avid fisherman, hunter, and collector.

Norma Hayes, 96, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society, Ellsworth, Kan. Norma Louise Hayes was born Nov. 12, 1923 in Stockton, Kan. to Ira and Charlotte (Bird) Hazen. Norma married John Ward Hayes in Mankato, Kan. Sept. 26, 1948.

Helen Irene (Bohnen) Prester, 77, of Salina, Kan., passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019 at the Salina Regional Hospital. Helen’s surviving family include her husband of 57 years, Leon of the home; daughter, Monica Jorden (Chris) of Salina, Kan.; son, Mike Prester (Angie) of Salina, Kan.

Donald D. “Fritz” Pflughoeft, 89, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2019 at his home in Ellsworth. He was born, the youngest of four children, in Ellsworth County to F.A. “Fritz” and Amalie (Haase) Pflughoeft. Fritz was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth.
