William Henry ‘Bill’ Frees (1933-2019) William Henry ‘Bill’ Frees, 85, of Bushton, Kan., passed away Nov. 9, 2019, at Country Living of Lyons. He was born Dec. 16, 1933 in Bushton, the son of William Christian and Katherine Grossardt Frees.  Bill was a lifelong Bushton resident.

Charles Lee Crawford, 89, passed away Nov. 10, 2019 in Casper, Wyo. Charley had lived in Casper since 1973. Charley will be cremated, there will be a celebration of his life in Casper later this month. There will be an interment with services later at the IXL Cemetery North of Paradise, Kan.

Ellen 'Nan' Langston, 85, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at her home in Holyrood. Sarah Ellen Fortner was born July 13, 1934 in St. Joe, Ark. to Otto and Jessie (Elam) Fortner. Ellen married Bobby Jim Langston in Holyrood on July 2, 1955.

Dale Leon Shepherd, 83, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 in Ellsworth. He was born Nov. 12, 1935 in Marshall County, Kan. to John Shepherd and Ethel Margaret (Dexter) Shepherd.  Dale graduated from Emporia State University and worked as an accountant for the Bendix Corporation, Kansas City, Mo.

Dola F. Nelson, 89, formerly of Bushton, Kan.,  passed away Nov. 8, 2019.   A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bushton.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.

Elaine A. ‘Blondie’ Harvey, 97, passed away Oct. 24, 2019. She was born Sept. 9, 1922 in Sioux Falls, S.D. to Iver and Amanda (Iverson) Wangsness.  Elaine married Norman W. Harvey Nov. 5, 1954 in Sioux Falls.

Edward J. Olejniczak, 84, Wilson, passed away Oct. 13 in Salina. He was born July 17, 1935 to Edward and Edith Miller in Gowanda, N.Y. He was united in marriage to Berniece (Steinle) Olejniczak on May 2, 1959 in Salina.

Donald ‘Donny’ P. Stone, 66, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019 at his home in Ellsworth. He was born May 31, 1953 in Graham, Texas to Billy Stone, Sr. and Eva (Needham) Stone. Donny was a longtime resident of Ellsworth, where he married Susanne ‘Susie’ Deiser on Nov. 5, 1978.

Sabrina Ann Trout-Shrum, 24, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, in Kingfisher, Okla. Sabrina was born Sept. 6, 1995, in Great Bend, Kan., the daughter of Paul and Melissa (Roberts) Trout. She was a 2014 graduate of Central Plains High School, Claflin, Kan. Sabrina was a member of St.

Louis Ernest Bruce, Jr., 75, of Lyons, passed away Oct. 4, 2019 at his home in Lyons. He was born Feb. 21, 1944, in Connersville, Ind., the son of Louis Ernest and Ethel Bruce, Sr.  Louis has resided in Lyons since 1992, formerly of Norton, Kan. He graduated from Draper High School in Draper, S.D.
