Stanley ‘Stan’ D. Suelter, 69, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 in Salina. He was born April 8, 1950 in Ellsworth to Roland and Velma (Fischer) Suelter. Stan was a longtime resident of Lincoln County where he was a stockman and farmer. He was an active member of St.

Lawrence Henry Moxter, 97, passed away Sept. 2, 2019 in Ellsworth, Kan. He was born Aug. 26, 1922 in Cawker City, Kan. to Henry and Hermina (Reling) Moxter. He married Helen Ann Gengler in Seneca, Kan. on Sept. 28, 1946. Helen joined Lawrence on the family farm located east of Cawker City.

Pastor Harlan Robert Palser, 87, of Russell, Kan., passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 3, 2019 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kan. Surviving family include his wife of 38 years, Darlene, of the home; daughter, Ellen Kroeger (Richard) of Apex, N.C.

Colt Harvey Kern passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 in Ellsworth. He was born Feb. 18, 2019 in Salina to Brandon and Santana (Johnson) Kern.

  Irene Ann Pacey, 80, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2019 in Ellsworth. She was born May 19, 1939 in Kansas City, Kan. to Anthony and Olga (Brozek) Blazina.   Irene was a longtime resident of the Ellsworth area where she was a registered nurse at the Ellsworth Hospital.

Terry Lynn Veazey passed away on Nov. 14, 2018, in Peoria, Ariz. He was 63 years old. Terry was born Aug. 14, 1955 in Salina, Kan. to Lynn “Bud” Veazey and Jane Shoemaker Veazey.   He was the grandson of Earl and Loubelle Shoemaker of Kanopolis, Kan. and Nathan and Edna Veazey of Fort Wayne, Ind.

Kathleen A. Homeier-Jefferson died Aug. 11, 2019 at Omaha, Neb. She was born Sept. 25, 1948 in Ellsworth, Kan.to Alfred and Marie (Prachar) Homeier. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1966; attended Dana College and did Continuing Education. She married Paul Jefferson, Sr. April 24, 1981.

Allene Marie Hogan, 93, died Aug. 27, 2019 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, N.D. She was born June 20, 1926 on the family farm north of Bushton, Kan., the daughter of George and Hanna (Schlessiger) Heiken. Allene graduated from Holyrood High School in 1944. Allene was a member of St.

Alice A. (Wollert) Sheridan passed away on Aug. 4, 2019, in Junction City, Kan. She was born on a farm northwest of Dorrance during harvest on July 1, 1920, and was raised on a farm southwest of Wilson. Alice attended the Cliff School, a one-room schoolhouse.

Elda E. Chegwidden, 104, of Sylvan Grove, passed away Aug. 9, 2019. She was born April 6, 1915 in rural Sylvan Grove. She was a retired homemaker and self-employed restauranter. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Harold Chegwidden in 1960.
