City discusses evaluation

During a 30-minute special meeting May 25 at Ellsworth City Hall, members of the Ellsworth City Council discussed how to conduct the evaluation for City Administrator Dustin Stambaugh.The evaluation is scheduled to take place in August.

More 2024 budget requests were received by the Ellsworth County Commission Monday at their weekly meeting.The Ellsworth County Council on Aging submitted a request for 2024 of $32,800 — 2.5 percent ($800) more than the $32,000 it received for 2023.

Construction begins on emergency room bay at hospital

The number of patients being treatment at Ellsworth County Medical Center dropped between March and April.According to information presented at a rather short May 17 meeting of the hospital board, the number of inpatient days dropped from 82 days in March down to 42 in April.
