Aiden John Moyer, 21, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Russell, Kan. He was born Feb. 13, 2005, in Wichita, Kan., to John and Nicole (Barta) Moyer.

Aiden was a 2023 graduate of Ellsworth Jr./Sr. High School.

Aiden is survived by his parents John and Nicole Moyer, Ellsworth; brother Gavin Moyer, Ellsworth; maternal grandmother Heather Barta and paternal grandparents Dairel and Pat Moyer, Ellsworth; uncle Heath Barta (Richelle), Lucas, Kan.; aunt Lindsay Miller ( Jeff ), Manhattan, Kan.; and cousins Hunter Hulse, Gunner Hulse, Keegan Barta, Benton Barta, Anthony Thompson and Audrey Call (Steven) and their son Levi. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Richard Barta.

A memorial reception will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Ellsworth American Legion, 645 W. 15th St., Ellsworth, Kan.

Visitors are welcome to come and go at any time to share a story or memory with the family and stay for lunch.
