Lady Dragons advance to second round of sub-state

WILSON — The Wilson High School Lady Dragons hosted the Otis-Bison Lady Cougars in the first round of substate basketball tournament Friday, Feb. 25. The Dragons were hot in the first quarter outscoring their opponent 12-5.

Bearcats Vopat and Donley come up short on the state mats

Ellsworth Bearcats wrestlers Bradley Vopat, above, (at 160 pounds) and Will Donley, below, (at 113 pounds), each won third place in their weight classes this past weekend at the regional wrestling tournament in Hillsboro. They advance to the state competition Saturday, Feb. 26, at Hays.
