James Beauchamp, 65, passed away Aug. 5, 2023, in Ellsworth. He was born June 4, 1958, in Junction City, Kan., to Joseph “Joe” Baxter and Shitsue “Sue” (Sato) Beauchamp. He married Marilyn Kay Dolezal in Ellsworth on Oct. 14, 1978.

David Lee Nondorf, 37, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, at his home in Kanopolis, Kan. He was born Oct. 27, 1985, in Aurora, Colo., to Leonard and Pamela (Miller) Nondorf. David proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a location supervisor at Central Prairie Coop in Bushton, Kan.

Lawrence D. Rush, 87, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, in Ellsworth, Kan. He was born July 17, 1936, in Rice County, Kan., to Gordon “Mick” and Faye (Schmidt) Rush. Lawrence was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth County where he was a farmer. He married Alice Ann Schwerdtfeger in Kanopolis, Kan.

Albert ‘Al’ Wayne Oller, 86, of Holyrood, died July 18, 2023, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 2, 1936, in rural Pratt County to Andy Sam and Eunice (Ford) Oller.Al graduated from McCracken High School. Shortly after graduation he joined the U.S.

Diane Sue McKinney, 75, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington, Kan. She was born Dec. 7, 1947, in Wichita, Kan., to Catherine Zorn. Diane married Ron McKinney on Aug. 19, 1967, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Ellsworth, Kan.

Carla June (Daniels) Friesen, 83, of Basehor, Kan., formerly of Ellsworth, Kan., passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., surrounded by her loved ones. She lived a life of selflessness and touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Sheldon Lee Schulz, 65, of Bushton, Kan., passed away July 9, 2023, at his home. He was born Dec. 6, 1957, in Great Bend, Kan., the son of Orland Lee and Gloria Chesnut Schulz.Sheldon was a lifetime Bushton resident. He graduated from high school in Bushton.

Jeffrey Eugene “Jeff” Freeman, 68, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his home in Kanopolis, Kan. He was born May 17, 1955, in Great Lakes, Ill., to James and Delores (Wright) Freeman. He married JoEllen Salyers in Ellsworth, Kan., on Dec. 3, 1977.

Harry Dean Black, 75 years, 11 months and 18 days, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, in Salina, Kan. He was born July 23, 1947, in Salina to Harry and Lou Mary (Woolsey) Black.
