Michael John Soukup (1947-2021)

Michael John Soukup passed away to be in his heavenly home on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at his home in Wilson, Kan. at the age of 74. He was born to Raymond and Claire (Mog) Soukup Jan. 27, 1947, on the family farm in Wilson. He was united in marriage to Karan Klusener Sept. 26, 1970.

Donald Lee ‘Don’ Weseloh (1956-2021)

Donald Lee Weseloh, 64, of Sylvan Grove, Kan., died Sept. 9, 2021 at Salina Regional Health Center, after battling an extended illness.Don was born in Lucas, Kan. Oct. 10, 1956 to Walter W. and Gertrude L. (Groth) Weseloh. He was a self-employed farmer.Don lived his entire life on the family farm.

Bill Herrington (1940-2021)

Bill Herrington, 81 of Wichita, Kan., left this earth to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021. He was born and raised in Kanopolis, Kan.Bill’s most treasured things were family. In 1960, Bill met his perfect companion, Sharon Harper.

Lawrence Wayne Butler (1958-2021)

Lawrence Wayne Butler, was a very proud son of Lawrence and Doris (Motsinger) Butler/Wenger, and was blessed for having them as parents. He was born March 20, 1958 in Princeton, Mo. He passed away Sept. 9, 2021 at St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City, Colo. at the age of 63.

Dale Ray Barta (1941-2021)

Dale Ray Barta passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Storemont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kan. at the age of 80. He was born April 28, 1941, to Earnest and Francis (Mattas) Barta in Ellsworth, Kan.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.  Monday, Sept. 13, at the funeral home in Wilson.

Pauline G. Branda (1934-2021)

Pauline G. Branda, 87, Hays, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at HaysMed.She was born July 15, 1934 in Wilson, Kan., the daughter of Arthur and Ella (Weinhold) Lingo. Pauline graduated from Wilson High School in 1952 and studied at Brown Mackie College to be a secretary.

Adolph F. Schultz Jr. (1933-2021)

Adolph F. Schultz Jr., known to everyone as Jr., passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, at the age of 88 years, 2 months, and 21 days. How appropriate for a hard-working man to have his labors completed on Labor Day.Jr.

Betty Louise Koch (1928-2021)

Betty Louise Koch, 93, passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, in Hutchinson, Kan. She was born June 12, 1928 in Nowata, Okla. to Hoyt Ray and Maggie Irene (Blanke) Kemmerer.Betty married Harold E. Koch in Great Bend, Kan. Feb. 19, 1950. Shortly after Harold served in the U.S.

Donald K. Nash (1952-2021)

Donald K. Nash, 69, passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 in Hays, Kan. He was born June 6, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pa. to Robert A. and Helen (Deutsch) Nash.Donald married Del Jeane Koch in Holyrood, Kan. Jan. 20, 1980.

Mary L. (Rich) Garrett (1931-2021)

Mary L. (Rich) Garrett, 90, passed away Sept. 1, 2021. She was born, Nov. 14, 1931 in Hartford, Kan., the daughter of Mindie B. Rich (Wentworth) and William B. Rich. Mary was a resident of Ellsworth, Kan. since 1968 after relocating from Emporia, Kan. with her husband and children.
